Turnstone

Turnstone is a self contained little chalet style, studio apartment, located at the back of Bay View Terrace, approximately half a mile from St Mary's harbour, where you can catch daily tripper boats to the off islands. Access is from the side of the terrace, and through a shared passage way, into the courtyard of number 2. The apartment has been upgraded during the winter of 2024 and now offers a completely open plan layout, and really lends itself to walkers, and those looking for a comfortable base from which to get out and about and enjoy everything that Scilly has to offer.

The bedroom area has twin beds and freestanding furniture, all on the ground floor. The little kitchenette is equipped with oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is a comfortable sofa, dining table and chairs, and a TV with DVD player. The shower room is a good size and there are shared washing facilities in the neighbouring shed.

The courtyard faces the back door of Whimbrel, which is the ground floor, three bedroom apartment of 2 Bay View Terrace. Although the three accommodations of 2 Bay View Terrace are rented out individually, they can also be rented together to allow for family or groups of friends to all holiday together, whilst still having their own space.
Whimbrel sleeps 6, Greenshank sleeps 4 and Turnstone sleeps 2.

The highlight of Turnstone must be the sunny tiered garden that rises up behind it. Turnstone guests are welcome to use this space exclusively, but we do request that you are vigilant if you have your dog up there with you.

All bed linen and towels are provided, electricity is included in the weekly rental cost, and beach towels can be hired locally on request.
