About Scilly Holiday Homes

Formed in 2023, Scilly Holiday Homes took over from well established local property agent Sibley’s Island Homes and rebranded as Shh.

With over 30 years combined experience in the holiday letting industry, Scillonian carpenter & joiner David, along with his wife Laurie launched the new business in the winter of 2023, just in time to complete a series of projects and schedule of maintenance across 25 self catering holiday properties for the 2024 season.

David has been building, maintaining, repairing and improving local properties since he qualified as a carpenter & joiner more than twenty years ago. Laurie’s is a familiar story, originally from Plymouth, she spent several years working in a variety of hotel & hospitality roles before coming to the islands to work for just one season… 12 years ago!

They now enjoy Scilly life, living on St Mary’s with their two dogs, Poppy & Pickles, and Laurie’s daughter.

With a small, dedicated team committed to delivering high standards across a variety of self catering homes, Scilly Holiday Homes does not aim to be the biggest letting agent on the islands, but we do aim to be the best.

We pride ourselves on being available on the phone, in person and over email. We work closely with our clients to achieve full potential from their second homes

We love what we do, from managing all aspects of the booking process and ensuring everything is right for our guests during their holiday, to helping our clients manage building projects, renovations or general improvements out of season.

So, whether you are a first-time visitor to Scilly, or a well-seasoned returner who caught the Scilly-bug, we would love to help you find your perfect Scilly holiday home…
